The Benefits of 100% Natural Soy Wax

People often remark that soy wax products are more expensive than paraffin wax products, which is true at face value however, if you look deeper into it, you will see that those savings do come at a higher cost.

Putting it simply, soy wax is 100% natural and better for the environment, your home, your family and pets, it is also perfect for designing a longer lasting scented product, which is of the utmost importance to us.

Soy wax is actually a relatively new product and was discovered in 1991 by Michael Richards, he was trying to find a more cost effective alternative to beeswax

As the name implies, soy wax is made from Soybeans, which means that it is not only 100% natural, but also, 100% renewable and 100% environmentally friendly, whereas paraffin wax, is a bi-product of the refinery process for petroleum oil and therefore non-renewable and non-environmentally friendly.

Using soy wax for our products was a conscious decision by us, simply because of all of the amazing benefits that soy wax has to offer, so whilst at face value paraffin wax may seem more cost effective, it is a good idea to consider the broader cost of burning paraffin wax over soy wax.

Soy wax is derived from a vegetables, (soy beans), whilst it's counter partner, paraffin wax is derived from petroleum (a refined a gasoline product).

Soy wax is a natural and renewable resource.

Soy wax is biodegradable and cleans easily with warm soap and water.

Soy wax has a lower melting point than paraffin wax and due to this, soy products burn slower and longer than paraffin wax, giving you awesome value for money.

Soy wax burns with zero petro soot, creating petro soot free products, whereas paraffin candles burn with petro-soot.

Did you know that soy wax has a memory???

Here's a perfect little tip for you ... When using soy wax candles, always allow them to get a full and good layer of melted wax at the top and when you extinguish the flame, let the wax cool for a few minutes, then gently and carefully roll the wax around the edge of it's container, doing this reminds the wax to burn right to the edge next time you use it and gives you a much longer lasting candle.

If you need any further information on any of our soy wax products, please feel free to contact us and we will be happy to assist in any way we can.
